David Changar Small Goddess Vases
Whimsical hand thrown sculptural functional ceramics forms by Bronx, NY artist David Changar.
From the Artist:
“Craftsmanship is an important part of my process. I endeavor to reproduce my wokr in the highest quality possible. The work is produced in a number of ways: wheel-thrown, hand built, or sip cast. The majority of the work is hand-thrown on the potter’s wheel. However, for certain designs where it will increase the quality of the piece, I will reproduce it using a mold. In those cases, I make the original pieces and the molds themselves. All of the work is signed and dated.
All of the work is made of high-quality porcelain or stoneware clay body, which is high-fired to vitrification to gain durability & function. These pieces are then glazed in bight, vivid glazes.
My work can be found in numerous corporate collections (Deutsche Bank, Bank National de Paris, Bank of America, and HSBC). My work is also sold by many museum stores, gift stores, and galleries across the country. I have a liberal arts degree from Hampshire College with a concentration in architecture and design.
I love what I do! It is my pleasure to produce these pieces. I hope they provide you and your family years of pleasure.”
