About the Artist
Jan Salzer has taught art for many years and lives in the New Orleans area. She has been creating art for her friends and family most of her life. Jan’s work is sold in a few stores in Louisiana now but she starting selling her ceramics, paintings and floor cloths at local art markets in New Orleans and the Mississippi Gulf Coast.
Thanks to Jan’s daughter for suggesting to her to purchase a kiln, Jan has enjoyed making detailed custom ceramics plates, platters and tiles. Each piece is hand painted and glazed with only lead free glazes, making them pretty and functional!
