Saints For Sinners Saint Lucy Hand Painted Medal
As a young woman, Saint Lucy decided she wanted to dedicate herself to Christ as a consecrated virgin. One of Lucy’s suitors said she had pretty eyes and was a constant pest, even after numerous rejections. So, Lucy put an end to his love for her eyes by gouging them out and offering them to him on a platter. The heathen suitor had Lucy imprisoned, tortured, and eventually murdered. She is known as the patroness of vision and her Feast Day is on the Winter Solstice. Through all the pain, Lucy never renounced God. Wear Saint Lucy and you will find yourself seeing things more clearly and thinking with incredible foresight. Visit www.WRBH.org, the Reading Radio for the Blind and Hearing Impaired in New Orleans to see one of their Saint Lucy medals, which we donate to further their good work.Â
